LNER Clayton Steam Railcar and Trailer

The LNER purchased a total of eleven railcars from Clayton between 1927 and 1928.There were a number of differences with the Sentinel railcars such as separate coal bunker and water tank that was carried on the power bogie in-front of the coach body.

The LNER also purchased eight 4-wheel trailers from Clayton for use with these railcars. Most were withdrawn and condemned by British Railways in 1949.

The coal bunker was articulated to the main body. Coal rails were added to stop coal falling off, but are not included on model as they varied in design.

Model requires finishing and chassis /motor added.
