b-1-35-20hp-simplex-1f |
b-1-35-Protected-simplex 1/35 scale The classic British WW1 narrow gauge loco. This model has been designed using various drawings and photos. I prefer to capture the spirit of a model rather than being spot on accurate. In any case the real locos varied and were at the mercy of the war machine. Nominally 1/35 scale. No chassis is included but I have also designed chassis to fit Lima motor bogie and Tenshodo Spud . This version has no gap at front so can choose type of coupling |

b-1-35-Open simplex narrow gauge loco doors remove The classic British WW1 narrow gauge loco. This model has been designed using various drawings and photos. I prefer to capture the spirit of a model rather than being spot on accurate. In any case the real locos varied and were at the mercy of the war machine. Nominally 1/35 scale. Included is the body, a basic interior, and a clip in base-plate which fixes to a 35mm wheelbase Tenshodo motor bogie(SPUD) with 12mm diameter wheels. Some very slight mods might be need to fit as clearance is very limited. This is one version of the open version with doors removed.

b-1-35-Armoured-simplex 1/35 scale The classic British WW1 narrow gauge loco. This is the fully armoured version, which was not built in large quantities. This version has gap at front for wire coupling. |

b-1-35-Simplex-baseplate-lima-version Chassis plate to fit Simplex locos. This just clips into place. This one fits the standard 2 axle diesel shunter chassis from Lima. Screws on like the Lima chassis. Note the current Hornby Lima version needs modifying to allow screws to be fitted as it now does not have screw fixing. This has been designed to fit the 1/35 scale version of the Simplex loco |

B-1-35-deutz-loco 1/35 scale One of the small petrol locos built by Germany in WW1.some were captured by the allies and photos show them with British troops. As a model, tricky to find a chassis to fit as loco is very narrow, quite a contrast to the 40hp simplex used by the British. I managed to fit a small Hornby 040 chassis(The bill/Ben loco), and it is just about OK. |

b-1-35-Crochat-loco1-plus 1/35 scale One of the French petrol locos from WW1. A big beast. Basic body plus bogie frames. As for motorizing, this can be difficult. The wheels are bigger than normal bogie wheels, so either build your own chassis, or cheat as I did by using Lima motor bogies. Wheels are almost hidden by bogie sides, so until I have found something better that is good enough for me. Bogies are now joined to reduce part count, so need separating |

B-1-35-schneider-2c 1/35 scale French WW1 petrol shunter. I have designed model to fit Lima OO scale 08 shunter . Chassis is not 100% accurate but at least it is inside framed. Chassis needs some small modifacions. |

B-1-35-brigade-080-2b 1/35 scale The classic German steam loco from WW1. A big loco. Used in industry after the war. Ideally would need a chassis with outside frames, but I managed to modify a Lima chassis, not perfect but good enough for me. May need modifications to fit some chassis. |

B-1-35-pechot-bourdon steam loco 1/35 scale One of the classic French locos from WW1. Initially used to supply military fortifications, they were later used in the clear up operation. I used 2 Mehano 040 loco chassis to power my model, there is only room for one motor though. This is not outside framed but good enough for me. There should be enough room for a scratch built chassis. Model is to 1/35 scale designed to run on 16.5mm gauge track |

B-1-35-joffre-9ton-060-5a
1/35 scale A Classic WW1 steam loco. This is the 9 ton Kerr Stuart version of the Decauville 8 ton loco. Model has been designed to fit Bachmann HO model of USRA 060 steam loco, eg 50615. Some slight changes to loco to fit this chassis, otherwise pretty close to exact 1/35 scale. Slight modifications required, in particular removal of smoke unit plus casing and front light. I found most difficult part as removing body from loco - 2 screws by cylinders and one under cab. Use the cab screw to fix modified chassis to new body. No coupling mounts provided as everyone has their own preference. |
